Our Process...

Step 1 - The Consultation

Arrange a free, no obligation consultation.

We will talk about your design ideas, likes and dislikes. We will look at the options for your centre stone, whether you want a natural diamond, a lab grown diamond or a gemstone. I will educate you on all the options so you can make an informed decision on your stone, as it will likely be the most expensive part of the ring and also the main focus. We will discuss the different metal options available with all their pros and cons. I will answer any questions or concerns you have about the stone, the ring or the process. We will also talk about your budget. This is an important part of the process as it helps me to find the perfect stone for your ring.

Tips to prepare for the consultation:

  • Try to get your partners finger size. This will help the process and also to avoid any awkward situations when you pop the question.
  • Know your budget. You need to know what you want to spend, so I can help you get the most for your budget and give you the perfect ring.
  • Try to find out what kind of ring your partner might like. Pay attention to any clues you receive. Ask friends and family for help. This way we can make sure there are big smiles when you get down on one knee.
  • Set aside roughly one hour for the consultation

                                                                                             Step 2 - The Design

Now that we have found the perfect stone for you and know exactly what you want in a ring, we can begin the design process. We sit down with the designer to discuss the design. Once the design is decided, we create a 3D digital representation of the ring. This is a photo-realistic image of what the ring will look like.
We will send you renderings of the ring from different angles so you can get a good idea of what to expect. We will also send you a formal quotation for your approval. Once you approve the design, we require a *50% deposit to start the process. Now we start with the best part...

Step 3 - The Best Part

Now we begin the manufacturing process. After a 3D print of the ring is made, it is cast in the desired metal. After casting, it goes to the jeweller who starts cleaning and assembling the ring. Here we want to make sure that we pay attention to the smallest details and that every part of the ring is perfect. Then the ring is pre-polished in the polishing department and we do a quality check to make sure the metal and craftsmanship are up to standard.

Next, it goes to the setting department. Here, an experienced setter ensures that your diamonds and gemstones are securely set in the ring. This is a time-consuming but important part of the process. We want to make sure that every set stone stays set** We do another quality check to see if any stones are loose or not set straight.

The final step is to polish the ring to perfection. Our polisher is highly skilled as this is a very important part of the process. All angles must be taken into account and he must pay attention to the setting. In the case of white gold, the ring is rhodium-plated after polishing.

The ring undergoes a final quality check. When we are satisfied with the final product, we prepare the tax invoice and the valuation certificate that you need for insurance purposes. We will send you both documents when we inform you that the ring is ready for collection.

*50% Non refundable deposit on all Custom orders.
**Although we do our utmost to always ensure the best quality, we are only human. Although it should not happen, sometimes stones fall out. In this case, if the ring is not damaged or due to normal wear, we will replace the stone up to 0.10ct free of charge. Anything above this will be at your expense or the expense of your insurance company. For this reason, we strongly recommend that you fully insure the ring before collecting it.
